In this role, you will be responsible for performing utility installation and maintenance tasks in various environments, including trenches and limited access holes. What you'll do
- Perform utility installations and repairs in trenches and limited access areas
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project status and safety concerns
- Maintain fusion tools and equipment and ensure they are in good working condition
- Assist in training new team members on safety practices and operational procedures
- Actively participate in regular safety meetings and contribute to a culture of safety
What we're looking for
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong focus on safety and compliance
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience with utility installation and maintenance
Nice to have
- Atmos Energy and/or Delta Utilities PE Fusion Certification
- Experience with fusing techniques - Electrofusion, Butt Fusion, Saddle Fusion
- Experience locating underground utilities
- Knowledge of local utility regulations and standards
