About the Role

Clement Building Company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Superintendent in overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As an Assistant Superintendent, you will act as a key liaison between subcontractors, vendors, and project management, contributing to a collaborative work environment focused on safety and excellence. In this role, you will play a crucial part in project planning and execution, monitoring progress, and addressing any issues that may arise. Your ability to communicate effectively and lead by example will be essential in maintaining productivity and fostering a positive team culture. What you'll do

  • Assist the Superintendent in managing daily construction activities and ensuring project timelines are met
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to facilitate smooth operations
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
  • Monitor project budgets and assist in tracking expenses and change orders
  • Help in resolving on-site issues and facilitating efficient problem-solving among the team
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to progress reports for stakeholders
  • Support the training and onboarding of new team members to ensure a cohesive workforce

What we're looking for

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with scheduling software and tools
