As the Catering Supervisor at Genuine Foods, you will play a crucial role in managing the Catering Department, ensuring that all catering events are executed flawlessly and to the highest standards of customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include training new associates, overseeing event set-ups, maintaining communication with clients, and managing orders through our Catertrax system. You will be the face of Genuine Foods during these events, working closely with our Executive Chef to craft menus that align with our commitment to quality and customer service. Your role will also involve managing labor and food costs, maintaining strong client relationships, and effectively addressing any issues that may arise during events. This position requires a proactive leader who can multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and service while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment for your team. What you'll do
- Supervise all catering events to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction
- Oversee logistics, quality improvement, and sanitation for all catering operations
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create event menus that meet client expectations
- Train catering staff on service standards and customer service best practices
- Control food and labor costs for each catering event
- Maintain clear communication with management, clients, and external vendors
- Address and resolve any issues quickly and efficiently during catering events
What we're looking for
- Minimum of 2 years of food service experience, including supervisory roles
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and catering trends
- Proven ability to manage costs effectively and grow catering business
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on client relations
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, and catering management software
Nice to have
- Experience in high-volume catering settings
- Familiarity with event planning and coordination
- Ability to develop and implement training programs for staff
