What you'll do
- Take and fulfill customer orders at the front counter or drive-thru with speed and accuracy
- Prepare fresh Wendy’s menu items (sandwiches, fries, salads) at assigned stations (Sandwich, Grill, Fry)
- Operate POS register to process payments and handle cash/credit transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by cleaning workstations, equipment, and dining areas
- Provide friendly, fast customer service with a smile while managing high-volume rushes
- Stock supplies and ingredients to keep stations fully operational during shifts
- Cross-train across multiple positions (Front Counter, Drive-Thru, Grill, Fry) for flexibility and team support
What we're looking for
- Customer service orientation – Deliver fast, friendly service with a positive attitude in a high-volume environment
- Basic math & cash handling – Accurately process payments, give change, and operate POS systems
- Food preparation & safety – Follow recipes, portion controls, and health/sanitation standards (e.g., handwashing, glove use)
- Teamwork & communication – Collaborate with crew across stations during peak hours and shifts
- Physical stamina – Stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in a fast-paced, hot kitchen
- Flexibility & reliability – Adapt to rotating stations and maintain punctual attendance across day/night/flexible schedules
- Attention to detail – Ensure order accuracy, food quality, and cleanliness at all times
Nice to have
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) – Communicate effectively with diverse customers and team members in high-Hispanic areas
- Prior QSR or retail experience – Quick learner with proven ability to handle fast-paced food service
- Leadership potential – Shows initiative, coaches peers, and aspires to shift lead or management roles
- Basic tech proficiency – Comfortable with mobile apps, touchscreens, or self-order kiosks
- Availability for peak shifts – Open to early mornings, late nights, weekends, or holidays
- Valid food handler certification – Already trained in local health/safety regulations
- Reliable transportation – Consistent commute within 7–10 minutes of store location
