About the Role
As the Lead Pickleball Instructor, youâll be the face of our on-court experience. Youâll design and lead lessons, clinics, and events, while mentoring assistant instructors and fostering a welcoming, inclusive pickleball community.
What you'll do
- Lead group classes, private lessons, and clinics for all skill levels
- Create and maintain lesson plans and training programs
- Provide coaching and feedback to improve player technique and strategy
- Organize and assist with tournaments, leagues, and community events
- Manage and mentor junior or assistant instructors
- Support member engagement and retention through a positive, fun environment
- Ensure courts, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and set up for play
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of experience teaching or coaching pickleball or a related racquet sport
- Strong understanding of pickleball rules, techniques, and strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Nice to have
- PPR or IPTPA Instructor Certification
- Experience managing recreational programs or sports facilities
- Background in hospitality, community events, or café settings
- Passion for building community through sport and social connection
