Cantaloupe AI launched V3 of our 24/7 voice recruiter Clio, creating the most natural and accurate AI interviewing experience we have ever delivered. We are focused on using frontier AI the right way. Quality signal, fairness, faster time to hire, less garbage in, better decisions out.
One of the biggest unlocks in V3 was killing mandatory signups. Hourly workers do not want to create accounts. They want to start now. In V3, applicants can begin interviews instantly, which removes the funnel drop off and increases the number of real data points we can use to measure fit. When combined with smarter probing, Clio can now generate follow up questions in real time, mid answer, and aggressively deepen on relevant context. This allows us to extract stronger human signal that maps to early turnover risk, culture alignment, and real world compatibility.
We also launched our new Cheat Detection system. We did not build this to police people, but because we believe the value of AI in hiring collapses if we cannot protect human signal. Our approach does not punish people for being nervous or not great speakers. Instead it flags clear language patterns and timing signatures that are most commonly produced by LLMs, giving employers the confidence that the interview is actually the applicant. Supportive, not punitive.
